Chimney sweep for Netcong, NJ homes. Netcong is a short drive south of Hopatcong on the shore of Lake Musconetcong, and we sweep chimneys there for fireplaces, wood stoves and heating appliances.

Close-set houses and shared rooflines in Netcong
Netcong packs a lot of homes into less than one square mile. It began as a settlement of mine workers known as South Stanhope, took its present name in 1889 and was incorporated in 1894. The railroad that shaped it still stops in the centre of town. The Borough of Netcong is where residents find local ordinances and permit contacts.
Houses built close together change how a sweep is done. Roof access can be tight, and neighbours are near enough that soot control matters outside as well as in. Much of the work is done from the firebox upward with the opening sealed, so nothing leaves the flue except into the vacuum.
Many of these homes have a chimney with two flues, one for a fireplace and one for the furnace or water heater. Both collect deposits, and the heating flue is the one that gets forgotten. It is worth having both looked at in the same visit.
